Our Projects
Professional Healthcare Providers training - A partnership with the Ministry of Health and World Diabetes Foundation
Owing to the syllabus covered during medical school training, many in the healthcare sector still find it difficult to manage diabetes. Having recognised this gap, the Centre has embarked on a training programme for professional health care providers through the support of World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) and the Ministry of Health. The professionals are regularly trained on new Diabetes trends and updated with recent developments in diabetes world. The Centre has trained doctors, clinical officers, nurses, lab technologists, pharmacists and counsellors mainly from public health institutions with preference to district hospitals.
Diagnostics and Insulin
The Centre sources for donations for Gluco-meters and insulin or acquires them for very subsidized prices especially for the very needy patients. We have 27 children on free insulin a project done in conjunction with Eli Liilly.
