People with Diabetes should take responsibility of their daily activities to ensure that their glucose levels are neither too high nor too low. This is by:
- Healthy eating: eat a balanced diet and make wise food choices by eating low fat, less salt and more fibre as in fruits and vegetables and visit a dietitian for advice on what is healthy fo eat.
- Physical Activity.A regular exercise program can reduce your sugar levels but always talk to your doctor before commencement of any exercise.
- Manage stress levels.
- Stay knowledgeable about diabetes.
People with diabetes should visit their doctors or health providers regularly to monitor their glucose levels and educate them on how to manage diabetes.
