Preventing Diabetes

It is important to realize that you can have control over diabetes by your own actions.

Diabetes prevention is possible and powerful. It does not require drastic measures - but modest ones. These include:

  • Managing your insulin (controlling sugar sources)
  • Eating small portions instead of "filling up" at meals
  • Keeping your body fat percentage down (obesity is a high risk factor)
  • Having a regular exercise programme or engaging in physical activity regularly.
