About DMI
Background
The Kenya Diabetes Management and Information Centre (DMI Centre) is a not-for-profit registered medical charity founded in May 1999, with the aim to educate the public about diabetes due to the alarm raised by the International Diabetes Federation and practicing diabetologists about the global rising numbers of people diagnosed with the condition.
Aims and Objectives:
- To increase knowledge about diabetes
- To increase knowledge about self care
- To encourage patients to recognize the importance of good blood glucose control in order to avoid complications
Collaboration
DMI Centre works closely with various firms and organizations
Fund Raising
The centre aims to raise funds locally and internationally in order to successfully and effectively implement other programmes.
